Anal Skin Tags

At Coast Colorectal, we assist patients who are experiencing anal skin tags. Anal skin tags are excessive bits of skin around the anus.

Often, they can be removed under local anaesthetic, but it’s more common to remove them under a general anaesthetic.

After removing anal skin tags, it’s common to have some pain. It’s important to keep any wounds clean by having a Sitz (salty) bath or a shower twice each day. You should also bathe after each bowel movement.
